Full Job Description

The Alternative Investments Subscriptions & Redemptions Analyst will be responsible for processing subscriptions and redemptions across a wide spectrum of alternative investments products. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with, as well as influence, internal and external partners, including but not limited to financial advisors and their teams, asset managers and fund administrators.In addition, the role will require tactical and strategic thought leadership focused on continual process and efficiency improvements as the industry continues to rapidly evolve.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in a financial services-related field. Experience in operations and/or alternative investments is advantageous

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Currently hold or have the ability to obtain the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 7 or Series 99 licenses.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities, with a mindset to think and act like an owner

  • Ability to follow directions and work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Inquisitive and creative thinker, motivated to learn, and driven to achieve exceptional results

  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing urgent tasks

  • High level of organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic with an interest in enhancing business, technical, and operational processes

  • Ability to reconcile and make connections across multiple data sources

  • Firm understanding of the importance of accuracy and its impact on quality and downstream processes

  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, with the capability to engage effectively with senior management and stakeholders both internally and externally. This includes the skill to convey complex information clearly and understandably, actively listen, and adapt communication styles to suit diverse audiences. Whether the situation requires concise summaries or more detailed explanations, ensure clarity and understanding across all levels of interaction.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
