Role description:

Are you passionate about shaping the future of Alberta's communities? Join our Geomatics team as a Senior Survey Technician or Land Surveyor Project Manager in Edmonton and help create the smart, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, and thrive. You'll work alongside experienced professionals on a wide range of exciting projects across Alberta, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills within a supportive, growth-minded environment.

Role accountabilities:

As a key member of our team, you will:
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams to obtain, interpret, and communicate critical project information.
  • Guide and manage survey projects through municipal approvals and Alberta Land Titles processes, maintaining schedule, compliance, and client expectations
  • Lead QA/QC standards for survey plans, legal descriptions, calculations, and deliverables, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee the collection and validation of field notes, survey evidence, and background information to support precise, accurate and impactful project deliverables
  • Lead the planning, execution, and review of topographic, right-of-way, subdivision, and construction layout surveys, ensuring professional standards are upheld.

Qualifications & Experience:

We're looking for enthusiastic candidates who bring:
  • A diploma or degree from a recognized Geomatics or Surveying program
  • 5-10+ years of experience in the geomatics or land surveying industry
  • Registered Licensed Alberta Land Surveyor
  • A keen interest and experience in land development and construction surveys
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, or Trimble equipment is an asset;
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive, proactive approach to teamwork

The salary range for this position is $84,000- $127,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
