Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking an Alaska Workstream Product Owner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between FAA stakeholders, engineering teams, and program leadership, ensuring that requirements unique to Alaska’s operational environment are effectively translated into deliverables. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.

In this position, you will:
Manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog, enabling deployment of solutions that enhance safety, resiliency, and communications in one of the most challenging aviation regions in the world.
Serve as the Product Owner for the Alaska modernization workstream within FAA programs.
Define, maintain, and prioritize the product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned to Alaska’s operational needs.
Translate stakeholder requirements into user stories, features, and epics for engineering teams.
Collaborate with FAA leaders, local operators, and technical experts to define priorities and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
Support the deployment of infrastructure, communications, surveillance, and navigation solutions specific to Alaska.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release prioritization with Agile teams.
Ensure solutions comply with FAA safety standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and resiliency requirements.
Provide progress reports, KPIs, and value delivery metrics to FAA leadership.
Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies for Alaska programs.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FAA acquisition processes, AMS standards, and safety frameworks.
degree in Systems Engineering, Aviation Management, or Business Administration.
Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, or PMP.
Experience supporting FAA NextGen or Alaska aviation modernization initiatives.
Background in communications, surveillance, or navigation systems relevant to Alaska operations.
Familiarity with international aviation standards (ICAO, ITU-T).
Experience working directly with regional operators, airports, or state aviation authorities.

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.Similar Jobs
