Full Job Description
A Day in the Life

Our air quality team is growing, and we are looking to add a Project Professional to our collaborative and forward-thinking office culture. This hybrid position offers flexibility based on experience, with a general preference for employees to work in the office 3 to 4 days per week.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $95,000.

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
  • Complete tasks related to air quality permitting and compliance accurately and on time.
  • Increase your knowledge in all aspects of air quality consulting.
  • Quality presentation with QC of personal work.
  • Effectively communicate information with project managers.
  • Develop and maintain trusting professional relationships with team members and clients.
  • Prepare and complete air quality permitting applications, compliance reports, emissions inventories, and other regulatory deliverables accurately and on schedule while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Expand technical expertise across all aspects of air quality consulting by applying regulatory knowledge, performing emissions calculations, interpreting environmental requirements, and supporting a diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial client projects.
  • Produce high-quality technical work products by conducting thorough quality control reviews of calculations, reports, and permit applications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to communicate project status, identify technical challenges, manage priorities, and support the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal team members by providing responsive communication, technical guidance, and exceptional client service throughout the lifecycle of permitting and compliance projects.

  • B.S. or above in engineering or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of air quality consulting experience is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (e.g., Word/Excel/Outlook) and time/expense tracking software.
  • Basic understanding of relevant regulations related to projects and client operations.
  • Ability to navigate regulatory websites and databases.
  • A high level of professional ethics.
  • Social skills and professionalism necessary to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Demonstrates effective personal leadership, time management, and problem solving.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Less than 25% travel.
