Responsibilities

**This will be an onsite position at the Pentagon. This position is part of a proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award.

Noblis is hiring an on-site CWMD Nuclear SME capable of supporting AF/A10S in the development and implementation of strategy doctrine, policy, guidance, programs, projects, operational research, analysis, and testing relating to the AF CWMD Range of Mission Sets (Non-Proliferation, Counter Proliferation, i.e. strike, interdiction, intercept, offensive & defensive counter-air/space, ATSO, air operations, nuclear defense and consequence management). Candidates must possess demonstrated experience in nuclear weapon effects, targeting capabilities, and the development of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing inputs to assist AF/A10S in developing policy and doctrine for AF operations in a nuclear environment and in the execution of National or DoD programs (such as Nuclear Survivability).
  • Performing analysis of items of interest by the MAJCOMS, Air Staff/Space Staff, Services, JS, OSD, DoD, CCDRs, and other Federal Agencies to assist in determining its value to the DAF for operational use.
  • Maintaining familiarity with general categories of analytic quantitative assessment, including:
  • Threat and Vulnerability Assessments,
  • Basic Challenge Sources,
  • Attack Characterization,
  • Atmospheric Transport Dispersion Modeling,
  • NC3 Equipment,
  • AF Operations, Risk Assessment/Management,
  • Hazard Modeling and Analysis,
  • Detector Capability Analysis,
  • Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Operational Conditions Research and Development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree & 8 years of relevant experience. Will also consider an Associates & 11 years of experience or an High School diploma 14 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Demonstrated experience with:
  • Operations of current sortie generation Modeling & Simulation (M&S) products.
  • Using and interpreting M&S tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of AF and DoD CWMD and Counter-proliferation programs
  • Working in complex environments with multiple POCs.
  • Analyzing/interpreting nuclear studies for operational impacts (i.e., impact on air and/or space operations/missions.)
  • Technical expertise concerning nuclear science and understanding of the nuclear hazard environment.
  • AF-unique operational experience/expertise in the following mission areas:
  • Fighter/mobility operations
  • Flightline agile combat support
  • Joint operations/Air operations planning
  • AF nuclear defense
  • Counter-proliferation and non-proliferation
  • Scientific analysis and testing of air platforms
  • Adversary use of/potential methods of employment regarding radiological and nuclear weapons
  • Radiation and nuclear effects on people, equipment and operations
  • AF nuclear and radiation countermeasure processes
  • Nuclear weapons effects, nuclear weapons research and development, nuclear targeting, and nuclear weapons delivery.

**Must be a US Citizen w/ an active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $146,200.00 - USD $228,400.00 /Yr.
