Full Job Description
Kearney & Company is currently seeking an Air Force Financial Management Junior Specialist to join our team in Dayton, OH and various other locations in the U.S. to serve as a key member of the Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS) Deployment and Training Team in support of Data Visualization. The successful candidate will support the deployment, sustainment, and user training of financial data visualization tools (primarily dashboards) at Air Force bases. This role assists senior financial managers and dashboard teams in integrating, updating, and troubleshooting dashboard solutions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and empowering end users through training and support. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Assist in the deployment and installation of Command-specific dashboards at Department of Air Force installations, including minor modifications for local requirements.
  • Support daily sustainment and updates of dashboard capabilities, integrating multiple data sources (~30) and maintaining existing FMFO products (~80).
  • Provide user support and troubleshooting for dashboard and Power BI tools, including responding to user inquiries and documenting issues.
  • Participate in training sessions for installation users, helping to develop and update training materials and guides.
  • Gather and document user feedback to identify training needs, system issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support data extraction, validation, and integration efforts to ensure dashboards reflect accurate and complete financial information.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls, security requirements, and government policies.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and user guides as directed by senior staff.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of DEAMS experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Strong customer service and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required, up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (requires US Citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in DoD FM processes and procedures for posting accounting entries
  • Familiarity with AF Financial Management and financial data elements
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or High bond

Overview

The expected salary range for this position is between $69,000 and $105,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
