Position Summary

The AI & Transformation Lead coordinates and executes artificial intelligence and institutional transformation initiatives across CNM, ensuring alignment with the enterprise data strategy, governance framework, and strategic priorities established by the Chief Data Officer. This role serves as the central point of coordination among data teams and business units to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and guide projects from concept through pilot and enterprise-scale implementation. Facilitates collaboration, governance, and change management to ensure AI and process improvement efforts are practical, ethical, measurable, and deliver meaningful institutional value.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the coordination and execution of AI and transformation efforts across the institution, aligning initiatives to the enterprise data strategy and governance framework established by the Chief Data Officer. Ensures efforts are connected, practical, and positioned to deliver measurable value.
  • Serves as a central point of coordination between ITS, data teams, and business units to align work, reduce silos, and maintain forward progress across AI and transformation initiatives. Works closely with the Chief Data Officer to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and governance expectations.
  • Organizes and manages, in partnership with ITS and business units, the intake, prioritization, and tracking of AI and transformation initiatives across departments. Helps establish clear ownership while supporting teams in moving work from concept to pilot to scaled implementation.
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration to embed AI and process improvements into real workflows. Ensures initiatives are grounded in operational needs and supported by appropriate data, processes, and change management.
  • Aligns efforts across multiple initiatives to avoid duplication, improve coordination, and ensure efficient use of institutional resources. Connects related workstreams to create a more cohesive and scalable approach.
  • Supports departments in identifying opportunities and shaping use cases that are practical, measurable, and aligned to institutional outcomes. Helps translate ideas into structured pilots with defined objectives and success measures.
  • Coordinates governance processes in partnership with the Chief Data Officer and institutional governance bodies to ensure initiatives follow established policies, guardrails, and ethical standards for data and AI use.
  • Tracks progress, outcomes, and dependencies across initiatives, providing clear visibility to executive leadership. Highlights risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for alignment or acceleration.
  • Connects ground-up innovation with enterprise priorities by ensuring successful pilots are evaluated, refined, and positioned for broader adoption and scale across the institution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution related to Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, or Organizational Development

    • AND

    • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience
