This is a non-recruit Contract position for AI Solution Consulting Lead reporting to the Associate Director, Solution Consulting Analytics and AI
1. Product Delivery & Roadmap Execution- Drive Day-to-Day Execution: Manage AI and advanced analytics project intake, design, prototyping, and kickoff, ensuring agile adaptation to rapid industry advancements and stakeholder needs.
- Operationalize the Roadmap: Collaborate with Data and Analytics Solutions (DAS) leadership to translate the overarching strategic AI roadmap into actionable sprints, tracking milestones, managing risks, and removing blockers for the technical teams.
- Measure Impact: Define and monitor key performance indicators for AI solution adoption and effectiveness, reporting on ROI and clinical impact to senior leadership.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & "Translation"- Act as Primary Liaison: Serve as the day-to-day bridge between data science/engineering teams and DFCI's clinical and operations stakeholders.
- Translate Requirements: Convert complex clinical and operational workflow goals into clear technical requirements, and conversely, explain technical limitations or capabilities in plain language to non-technical audiences.
- Champion User Experience: Ensure AI tools are designed with the end-user in mind, prioritizing intuitive interfaces and seamless integration into existing operational, clinical, and research workflows.
3. Cross-Functional Team Leadership- Lead the Matrix: Guide cross-functional teams-including data scientists, AI/ML engineers, UX designers, and clinical informaticists-toward shared project goals without necessarily having direct administrative authority over them.
- Facilitate Strategic Consulting: Partner with stakeholders to assess their AI needs, recommending appropriate AI solutions that align with the department's strategic vision.
4. AI Safety, Governance, & Mission Alignment- Ensure AI Safety Guide a thoughtful path ahead for new projects by ensuring that responsible AI and governance considerations are proactively identified and woven into the approach for solution design, build, and deployment.
- Promote Safe Adoption: Develop and lead training initiatives or change-management protocols through the AI Solutions Playbook, I&A AI Summit, ED&A Labs, Skills, and other training opportunities.
Key Requirements
- AI Project Leadership: Minimum 2 years work experience leading AI projects (including Generative AI)
- Health Care Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant healthcare domain
- Consulting Experience: Minimum 1 year work experience in management consulting
- Technical Acumen: Experience working with data, analytics, and AI at scale
- Applied Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous stakeholder problems and requests into working AI prototypes and actional technical designs
- Communication: Exceptional translation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical business and clinical leaders.
Preferred Credentials
- Oncology Experience: Subspecialty oncology experience is a plus.
- Education: Master's degree preferred in Data Science, Health Policy / Management / Administration, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
$130,100.00 - $146,300.00
