Job Description

We are looking for an AI Senior Consultant to lead the strategic adoption, governance, and operationalization of artificial intelligence initiatives across a large, complex organization. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with a deep understanding of AI capabilities, emerging technologies, and digital transformation. This individual will identify high-impact AI opportunities, develop business cases and ROI models, establish governance frameworks, and guide enterprise-wide AI adoption. The AI Senior Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies while driving organizational change and measurable business outcomes. Reporting to executive technology leadership, this role will collaborate across business and technology organizations to advance responsible AI adoption, workforce enablement, modernization initiatives, and enterprise value realization. The role requires practical experience with a broad range of AI platforms, agentic AI capabilities, and enterprise AI solutions across a multi-vendor ecosystem, including cloud-native AI, generative AI, automation, and modernization technologies. This position will be a contract and remote.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise AI strategies aligned with organizational goals, business priorities, and long-term digital transformation initiatives

  • Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases that deliver measurable business value, operational efficiency, and strategic advantage

  • Conduct AI readiness assessments and develop roadmaps supporting AI adoption, governance, operating model design, and implementation planning

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders by translating complex AI concepts into practical business opportunities, risks, and investment recommendations

  • Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, ROI models, and value realization frameworks to support AI investment decisions and funding requests

  • Facilitate executive workshops, stakeholder sessions, and engagement activities to gather requirements, align priorities, define success metrics, and drive sponsorship

  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, architecture, security, legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, practical, and aligned with enterprise standards

  • Support the maturation and continuous improvement of enterprise AI governance frameworks, operating models, and strategic roadmaps

  • Partner with governance, risk, and compliance stakeholders to implement AI governance requirements, risk management practices, transparency standards, accessibility requirements, and performance measurement frameworks

  • Ensure AI initiatives align with organizational policies, governance standards, vendor management processes, and technology review requirements

  • Collaborate with data governance stakeholders to strengthen AI readiness through improvements in data quality, stewardship, privacy, security, and information management

  • Monitor emerging AI technologies, market trends, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage

  • Lead organizational change management activities related to AI adoption, including executive communications, stakeholder education, and workforce enablement programs

  • Develop and oversee enterprise AI literacy, awareness, and training initiatives to support responsible AI usage and workforce readiness

  • Create and measure AI adoption, literacy, and workforce enablement metrics to support long-term AI maturity growth

  • Evaluate AI vendors, platforms, and solutions while supporting build-versus-buy decision making

  • Measure and communicate business outcomes, KPIs, and value realization associated with AI initiatives

  • Partner with business divisions and program offices to identify opportunities for AI-enabled services, analytics, workforce insights, customer experiences, and operational improvements

  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, program leadership, technology teams, and external partners to ensure AI investments align with operational priorities and strategic objectives

  • Support enterprise application modernization initiatives through the adoption of AI-assisted development, assessment, migration, and transformation capabilities

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-assisted modernization technologies to accelerate code analysis, migration planning, software assessment, and modernization execution

  • Collaborate with technology stakeholders to advance application modernization, legacy transformation, automation, and cloud adoption strategies while maintaining operational stability and business continuity

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or related business leadership

  • 7+ years of demonstrated success aligning emerging technologies with business objectives and delivering measurable business outcomes and ROI

  • 7+ years of experience developing business cases, financial analyses, value realization frameworks, and ROI models for technology investments

  • 2+ years of experience leading AI, data analytics, intelligent automation, or enterprise transformation initiatives

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, C-suite stakeholders, and business unit leaders

  • Deep understanding of AI and machine learning capabilities, limitations, market trends, and enterprise applications

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including experience leading executive-level workshops and discussions

  • Experience driving organizational change management and technology adoption initiatives

  • Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles, risk management, compliance considerations, and enterprise operating models

  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams and translate strategic objectives into actionable AI initiatives

  • Experience conducting AI readiness assessments, organizational maturity evaluations, and strategic roadmap development

  • Experience evaluating AI vendors, platforms, and technology solutions as part of enterprise transformation efforts

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms, agentic AI tools, and generative AI technologies within a multi-vendor ecosystem

  • Experience with enterprise AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini Enterprise, Anthropic Claude, Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI technologies, AWS AI services, or comparable platforms

  • Practical experience utilizing agentic AI tools to increase productivity, automate workflows, support knowledge workers, accelerate software delivery, or enhance business operations

  • Executive education or certification in AI strategy (e.g., MIT Sloan, Kellogg, or similar)

Preferred:

  • MBA, MS in Business Analytics, or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience leading or supporting AI strategy, governance, digital transformation, or modernization initiatives within government, public-sector, healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated environments

  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership, enterprise IT organizations, and business stakeholders within large, complex organizations

  • Experience supporting large-scale application modernization programs, cloud migration initiatives, legacy transformation efforts, or AI-assisted software modernization programs

  • Knowledge of generative AI, large language models, intelligent agents, automation platforms, and emerging AI technologies
