TheAI Security Operations Engineeris responsible forsecuring, operationalizing, and scalingAI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systemsacross the enterprise. This role bridgessecurity architecture, AI governance, and operational security, ensuring AI systems are designed, deployed, andmonitoredwithsecurity-by-designand runtime assurance.
This roleoperatesas ahands-ontechnical leaderand trusted advisor to engineering, AI, and business stakeholders, translating AI risk into actionable security controls without slowing innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadsecurity design and operational oversightfor AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI initiatives across the enterprise
Define and operationalizeAI security frameworks, standards, and review processesthat govern model lifecycle, data usage, and autonomous behavior
ConductAI-focusedsecurity architecture reviewsand threat modeling toidentifyand mitigate risks before deployment
Support andmonitoragentic and autonomous AI workflows, ensuring guardrails, accountability, and runtime visibility
Partner with AI leadership and accelerator programs to enablesecure AI adoption at scale
Translate complex AI and cybersecurity risks intoclear business andpatient-impactnarrativesfor senior leadership
Contribute to and evolveenterprise AI governance programs, aligning with global regulatory expectations (e.g.,NIST AI RMF,EU AI Act, privacy frameworks)
Enable continuous improvement of AI security operations throughautomation, metrics, and repeatable processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years of experience incybersecurity architecture, security engineering, or security operations
Demonstratedexpertisesecuringcloud, hybrid, andon-premenvironments(AWS, Azure, GCP)
Handsonexperience withAI/ML security, Generative AI, and Agentic AI concepts
Proven ability to build and scaleenterprise security frameworksfor emerging technologies
Strong background inthreat modeling, risk analysis, and secure solution design
Experience advising and influencingmultiple stakeholders across hundreds of initiativesannually
Ability tooperateindependently while shaping strategy and execution
Preferred / Differentiating Skills
Experience designing or contributing toenterprise AI cybersecurity frameworks
Background supportingAI governance and accelerator programs
Knowledge ofglobal regulatory and compliance requirements(NISTAI RMF,EU AI Act, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Experience inlife sciences, healthcare, or highly regulated environments
Certifications inAI governance or cybersecurity(e.g.,AIGP,CISSP,CISM, CISA)

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $136,044.00 - $204,066.00 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
