Full Job Description
Overview

RealPage is transforming how Product teams work, communicate, and scale. As Director, AI Product Systems, you will help lead that transformation.

This role sits at the intersection of Product Operations, AI enablement, knowledge management, and process design. You will be responsible for building and evolving the systems that support how Product teams document, communicate, plan, and execute their work across the organization.

Initially, you will lead RealPage's technical writing and release communications functions, modernizing these capabilities through AI-powered workflows and automation. Over time, your scope will expand to include broader product operating systems, including documentation governance, release management, roadmapping processes, market intelligence workflows, knowledge management, and other critical Product functions.

Success in this role requires a builder's mindset. You will design and implement scalable systems, drive organizational adoption, and leverage AI technologies to improve speed, consistency, quality, and efficiency across the Product organization.

This is a highly visible leadership role that will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Strategy, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership teams.

Responsibilities

Product Operations Transformation

  • Design and implement AI-enabled systems that improve how Product teams plan, document, communicate, and execute their work.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual effort, improve workflow efficiency, and increase organizational scalability.
  • Build repeatable operating processes that drive consistency across Product teams and business units.
  • Establish governance, standards, and best practices for product documentation, release communications, and knowledge management.

AI Enablement & Workflow Automation

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered tools and workflows across Product Operations functions.
  • Create scalable solutions that improve productivity, content quality, research effectiveness, and operational execution.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to identify emerging opportunities for AI-enabled process improvement.
  • Serve as a thought leader on the future application of AI within Product organizations.

Product Communications & Documentation

  • Lead the team responsible for Help Center content, product documentation, release communications, and customer-facing product updates.
  • Establish quality standards, editorial governance, and content strategy across the portfolio.
  • Modernize documentation processes through automation, AI-assisted content creation, and workflow redesign.
  • Ensure product communications are timely, accurate, scalable, and aligned to customer needs.

Organizational Adoption & Change Leadership

  • Drive adoption of new tools, workflows, and operating practices across Product teams.
  • Influence leaders and stakeholders to embrace standardized processes and scalable operating models.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with Product Operations transformation initiatives.
  • Measure adoption, effectiveness, and business impact of new systems and workflows.

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of technical writers, editors, and future Product Operations resources.
  • Build organizational capability and ensure the team evolves alongside changing technology and business needs.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, accountability, and Innovation.

Success in This Role

Within the first 12–18 months, this leader will:

  • Significantly reduce manual effort associated with documentation and release communication workflows.
  • Increase the quality, consistency, and scalability of customer-facing product communications.
  • Establish AI-enabled workflows that improve productivity across Product Operations functions.
  • Improve discoverability and usability of product knowledge and documentation assets.
  • Create a foundation for broader Product Operations modernization initiatives across RealPage.
