Full Job Description
As the AI Product Owner within the Digital Innovation team, you will serve as the strategic driver and primary advocate for G.E.H.A's Artificial Intelligence initiatives. You will bridge the gap between business objectives, member needs, and technical execution, leading the lifecycle of AI/ML products from ideation through deployment and iteration.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with full stack developers, data scientists, compliance & risk teams, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions that improve member experiences, optimize internal operations, and ensure ethical, secure, and compliant use of data.

SKILLS

Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define the AI Vision: Work with Digital Innovation leadership to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI capabilities across G.E.H.A's ecosystem.
  • Identify Opportunities: Continuously evaluate internal workflows and member touchpoints to identify high-value opportunities for predictive analytics, generative AI, and automation.
  • Align with Business Directives: Ensure all AI products directly support G.E.H.A's strategic goals, including member retention, cost reduction, and healthcare outcome improvement.

Backlog Management & Execution
  • Own the Backlog: Create, maintain, and ruthlessly prioritize the AI product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Translate Requirements: Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria for the development teams.
  • Sprint Leadership: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Demos, Reviews, and Retrospectives) to ensure the development team has clarity on goals and deliverables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, managing expectations and providing transparent updates on AI product progress.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Partner tightly with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure all AI models adhere to HIPAA regulations, data privacy laws, and ethical AI guidelines (mitigating bias and ensuring model explainability).
  • User Adoption: Collaborate with change management and operations teams to ensure successful rollout, training, and adoption of AI tools by internal teams or members.

Performance & Iteration
  • Define KPIs: Establish clear metrics for AI product success (e.g., model accuracy, user adoption rates, efficiency gains, member satisfaction).
  • Monitor & Optimize: Partner with operations to monitor performance in production, gathering user feedback and system data to drive iterative enhancements, as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Visionary Mindset: Ability to see the big picture and communicate an inspiring, long-term direction for the use of AI at G.E.H.A.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Agile Product Management or Product Ownership, with at least 1-2 years specifically managing AI, Machine Learning, or data-heavy software products.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, predictive modeling) and the data science lifecycle. You do not need to code, but you must be able to communicate effectively with full stack developers, data scientists, and engineers.
  • Methodology: Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret performance metrics, and make data-driven product decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical AI concepts into easily digestible business terms.

Preferred Qualifications
