AI Product Owner

Overview

We are seeking a Product Owner with expertise in P&C underwriting to lead the design and delivery of AI powered solutions that transform underwriting workflows.

This role requires a strong combination of underwriting knowledge and product leadership. It requires the ability to analyze complex underwriting processes, and design solutions that align with business objectives.

The candidate will work closely with engineering and business teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with underwriting needs and deliver measurable improvements.

Success in this role depends on a deep understanding of underwriting, a strategic approach to workflow and solution design, and the ability to lead collaborative delivery efforts across multiple teams.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders from underwriting, operations, and IT to analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for underwriting solutions that employ AI capabilities.
  • Utilize P&C underwriting expertise in collaboration with underwriting SMEs to ideate and define target state workflows and solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that align with our product vision and roadmap.
  • Coordinate with business users to finalize and approve business requirements, while effectively managing and prioritizing changes based on evolving business needs.
  • Develop compelling presentations and research reports that distill key insights for stakeholders, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and end users to ensure successful user acceptance on the developed solutions.
  • Contribute to the entire project lifecycle, from inception through user acceptance and deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with business users to guarantee that developed solutions meet their requirements and drive value.


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in P&C insurance (underwriting background in property and/or general liability lines is preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • CIP/ CPCU or similar industry designations are preferred.
  • Creative thinker with skills in conceptualizing new product features, defining product roadmaps, developing business cases and proposals for solutions built on digital technologies.
  • Ability to work with cross functional global and local teams for various projects across varying time zones, as required.
  • Ability to deliver efficient and creative solutions in a fast-paced environment with limited resources and minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
