Full Job Description
ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking highly motivated Software Engineers to join our team as an AI Engineer at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.

This exciting career opportunity is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat missile modeling and missile defense software products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA's Missile Defense System (MDS).

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0 years' experience with a Maters' Degree
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
  • Familiarity in a variety of AI/ML techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning
  • Experience with programming in Python, R, or other relevant languages
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras
  • Experience with Large Language Models/Generative AI and Prompt Engineering. Also, using LLM/GAI solutions for usage in human-machine teaming for Software Development
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Engineering and Aerospace
  • Familiarity with MLOps and deploying models at scale.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and other methods for evaluating the performance of AI/ML models
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience working with sensitive data and adhering to data privacy regulations
  • Experience in Modeling and Simulation
  • Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and performance of missiles
  • Knowledge of engineering modeling principles behind body motion, trajectory analysis, counter measures, debris, and signature modeling
  • Background with missile system models, atmospheric dynamics, and performance
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
