Full Job Description
The AI Marketing Engineer builds and operationalizes AI-powered systems, agents, and workflows that make marketing faster, smarter, and more scalable across the full marketing lifecycle-from lead qualification and marketing automation to web updates, MAPSS, and digital analytics/insights. This role sits inside Marketing (starting with Digital) and partners with Commercial Technology and IT to integrate tools and deploy production-ready agents. The AI Marketing Engineer combines marketing judgment (what's worth automating and how it impacts customers) with engineering-minded execution (how to architect, connect, and operate systems end-to-end).

Why This Role Exists (Marketing Engineering Lens)

  • AI Allows marketing to evolve faster than headcount can scale; AI enables systems and agents that can research, draft, analyze, and execute recurring workflow steps at scale.

  • Marketing Engineers see a manual process and see a system, keeping humans in the loop where judgment and brand taste matter while automating repeatable steps.

  • This role is distinct from Marketing Ops: Ops maintains foundational infrastructure (clean data, working integrations, reliable processes); while the AI Marketing Engineer builds on that foundation to create new capabilities and is measured on marketing outcomes (e.g., conversion, traffic, pipeline impact).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Build AI Agents & Workflows Across Marketing
    • AI Tool Ownership & Recommendations
    • Integration, Deployment & Reliability
    • Enablement & Change Management
    • Innovation of New Marketing Capabilities

The essential requirements of the job include:

    • 5+ years in digital marketing, marketing operations, growth, analytics, or marketing technology roles; demonstrated system-thinking and automation mindset.

    • Hands-on experience building AI workflows/agents using LLMs for prompt design, structured outputs, evaluation/iteration.

    • Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and integrations across common marketing systems (CRM, MAP, CMS, analytics).

    • Strong understanding of marketing funnels, customer journeys, and how marketing activity ties to measurable outcomes.

    • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into deployable workflows; strong stakeholder management across Marketing, Commercial Tech, and IT.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    • Experience with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, journey optimization, performance diagnostics).

    • Familiarity with data pipelines/semantic layers, tagging/measurement governance, and dashboarding.

    • Experience with prompt libraries, agent orchestration tools, retrieval (RAG), and content governance at scale.

    • Comfort operating in regulated environments with privacy/security constraints.
