Full Job Description
At Sartorius, we are seeking an AI Deployment Engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. In this on-site role, you will contribute to transforming research-driven AI innovation into scalable real-world solutions that empower customers across cloud, edge, and instrument integrated environments. This full-time position directly supports our mission to advance next generation intelligent instruments and enable real-time insights in customers' workflows.

*Onsite role based at our Ann Arbor, MI site*

What you will accomplish together with us:
  • Convert complex AI/ML research models into robust, maintainable, and scalable production systems.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts focusing on cutting edge product development to embed models into analytical instruments and imaging platforms. You will focus on creating a seamless end-user experience, ensuring AI features are intuitive and
    Build and optimize automated deployment pipelines using internal DevOps tooling, meant for early adopters, partners and collaborators. Implement and troubleshoot based on frequent feedback.
  • Optimize models for latency and hardware constraints. By reducing processing time and improving efficiency, you enable users to achieve faster results and higher throughput in their biological assays.
  • Implement observability frameworks to monitor model performance in the field. You will proactively identify and resolve issues affecting data quality, ensuring high reliability and traceability for regulated industries.
  • Act as a bridge between data scientists and product development teams. You will translate user feedback and lab requirements into engineering specifications to ensure our AI capabilities solve actual pain points.
