Your Role

The Enterprise Architecture team translates business strategic goals into future-state capability reference architectures and execution roadmaps. The Principal AI/Data Architect will report to the Director of Enterprise Architecture. In this role you will drive the creation and maintenance of enterprise data and analytics capabilities, data reference architectures, integrated data and analytics technology roadmaps that will guide our strategic investments and enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:
  • Architect cloud native data platforms and analytical technologies including Snowflake/Azure data platforms, Data Vault methodology, Data Warehouse and Consumption Marts design, BI reporting with Tableau, Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Databricks and NoSQL platforms
  • Collaborate with other architects to create and document standards and patterns that can be leveraged for future re-use, and actively seek opportunities to leverage industry solutions for new business offerings and services
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures which includes the reference model, guiding principles, standards, patterns, and usage guidelines
  • Research, design, test, and evaluate new data platform technologies, and third-party products. Work with technology teams to prototype and prove the viability of solutions
  • Engage with customer's both business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of models that identify interdependencies between business units, roles, associated capabilities, and technologies
  • Align with BSC operating model, strategy, and IT objectives in guiding IT transformations
  • Ensure Data and Application Integration and Interoperability by addressing overall data processing needs
  • Continuously evaluate platform simplification and multi-tenancy opportunities ensuring - minimal amount of overlap among information systems, laying the groundwork for a comprehensive set of applications that work well together, are easily integrated, and don't duplicate efforts


Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires at least 10 years relevant business and IT experience
  • Requires at least 3 years of experience in an architecture role
  • Requires interpersonal and technical leadership skills that demonstrate collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, conflict management and influence
  • Requires strong proficiency in Data, Integration and Technology Architecture; with multi-tenancy architecture and M&A expertise preferred
  • Requires strong proficiency in data architecture; with data modelling, and SQL development expertise preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate AI recommendations in a business context to a general non-technical audience
  • Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, and nice to have experience in DataBricks
  • Knowledge of evaluating solutions for fairness, bias, accuracy, drift, validity, fit, robustness, and explainability
