Job Title: AI Compliance SpecialistJob Summary We are seeking an AI Compliance Specialist to ensure that AI and machine learning solutions comply with applicable regulations, industry standards, organizational policies, and Responsible AI principles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AI governance, regulatory compliance, data privacy, model risk management, and AI lifecycle controls. This role partners with AI engineers, data scientists, legal, security, privacy, risk, and audit teams to establish governance frameworks and ensure AI systems are developed and operated responsibly.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and maintain AI governance and compliance frameworks across the AI lifecycle.
- Assess AI and machine learning solutions for compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational requirements.
- Conduct AI risk assessments covering fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, security, and safety.
- Establish policies, standards, and controls for AI development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
- Review AI models, datasets, prompts, and decision-making processes for regulatory compliance and ethical considerations.
- Collaborate with legal, privacy, cybersecurity, and risk management teams to interpret evolving AI regulations.
- Support AI impact assessments, privacy impact assessments (PIAs), and model risk assessments.
- Maintain documentation for AI governance, model inventories, audit trails, and compliance evidence.
- Monitor AI systems for regulatory changes, policy adherence, and operational compliance.
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to AI systems and controls.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness programs for AI development teams.
- Recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements to strengthen AI governance practices.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Law, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Data Governance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in AI governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, information security, data privacy, or technology compliance.
- Understanding of AI, machine learning, and Generative AI technologies and their associated risks.
- Knowledge of AI governance principles, model lifecycle management, and compliance processes.
- Familiarity with data privacy and information security concepts.
- Experience developing policies, standards, controls, and compliance documentation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting compliance for Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
- Knowledge of AI risk management frameworks and model governance practices.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles, bias mitigation, explainability, and AI transparency techniques.
- Experience with AI auditing, model validation, and AI evaluation processes.
- Understanding of cloud governance and MLOps governance.
- Experience working with highly regulated industries such as banking, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, or the public sector.
- Professional certifications in governance, risk, compliance, privacy, or information security.
