Purpose of Role

The AI / Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and AI-enabled analytics solutions that provide actionable insights across the organization. This role combines business intelligence development, data analysis, and artificial intelligence capabilities to support data-driven decision-making, improve operational performance, and expand self-service analytics. The role serves as a technical expert in BI and AI technologies while ensuring solutions align with organizational data governance, security, and usability standards.

Areas of Accountabilities

Business Intelligence Development
  • Designs, develops, and maintains interactive dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical solutions that communicate key performance indicators, trends, and business insights.
  • Apply data visualization and user experience best practices to improve report clarity, adoption, and decision-making effectiveness.
  • Evaluates and incorporates new platform capabilities and features that improve reporting and analytical outcomes.

AI Enablement & Analytics Innovation
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance analytics, forecasting, reporting automation, and decision support.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains AI-powered agents, automated workflows, and self-service analytical solutions that improve business productivity.
  • Evaluates emerging AI tools and capabilities and recommends solutions that align with business objectives and governance standards.
  • Establishes and promotes best practices for the responsible use of AI with organizational data.
  • Ensures AI-enabled solutions adhere to data security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements.

Platform Adoption & User Enablement
  • Develops and executes strategies that drive adoption of business intelligence and AI-enabled analytics platforms.
  • Creates training materials, user guides, reference documentation, and best-practice resources.
  • Delivers training and ongoing support to users with varying levels of technical experience.
  • Promotes self-service analytics capabilities that enable business users to access and utilize data effectively.
  • Supports change management initiatives related to analytics, reporting, and AI technologies.

Data Management & Governance
  • Develops and maintains reporting and analytical data structures that support scalable business intelligence solutions.
  • Documents datasets, metrics, business definitions, report logic, and data transformation processes.
  • Manages data source connections, refresh schedules, and reporting dependencies.
  • Supports enterprise data governance, security, and data quality standards.
  • Participates in activities that improve the reliability, accessibility, and consistency of organizational data.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst, Business Intelligence Developer, Data Analyst, or similar analytics-focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using enterprise business intelligence platforms.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence technologies (Power BI, AWS Quicksight preferred)
  • Understanding AI and machine learning concepts and their application to business analytics, including predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and natural language capabilities.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; JDE experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and support non-technical users in the adoption of analytics tools and technologies.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% as required.
