Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Program Manager with hands-on cloud experience to lead a complex federal program focused on AI, AWS cloud services, data management, and enterprise modernization. This senior, customer-facing role is responsible for overall program leadership, delivery excellence, stakeholder engagement, and the performance of all services and activities under the Task Order (TO). You will serve as the primary point of contact for government leadership, provide authoritative guidance across multi-cloud and AI technical domains, and drive successful execution of all contractual requirements.

HOW A CLOUD PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Apply mastery-level expertise integrating multi-cloud environments and solutions to meet complex mission and business requirements
• Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical audiences on critical program issues
• Apply creative and strategic thinking to develop solutions for previously unsolvable problems and influence key agency policies and programs
• Lead big data operational execution and delivery
• Oversee initiatives involving Data Warehouse, Business Objects, AWS, and Snowflake technologies
• Apply experience with system development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Lean, DevOps, Kanban, XP, Spiral, and RAD
• Utilize expert-level knowledge of big data principles to select and apply efficient data processing hardware, software, and analytical methods
• Direct all phases of the program from inception through completion
• Be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs or major subsystems
• Participate in contract negotiations and contract modifications
• Ensure achievement of all required contractual performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs, OPIs, etc.)
• Oversee financial performance to meet program financial metrics
• Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, work statements, specifications, operating budgets, and contractual terms and conditions
• Act as the primary customer point of contact, leading program review sessions covering cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for research, development, integration, and testing activities
• Establish program milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
• Identify program risks, issues, and challenges and drive solutions such as resource allocation adjustments or contractual modifications
• Direct the work of employees assigned to the program across technical and administrative roles
• Serve as the senior business leader for the program, determining customer needs, coordinating technical solution responses, shaping acquisitions, and positioning GDIT to deliver best‑in‑class services
• Conduct planning and provide recommendations to the client on workload and task execution
• Manage risk tracking processes and mitigation activities
• Attend customer meetings and serve as the client liaison
• Interact with vendors, partner agencies, stakeholders, and client leadership
• Coordinate development and ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• BA / BS degree

Required Experience / Certifications:
• 10+ years of experience overseeing data management and analytics programs or tasks
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS Cloud, Big Data, and Managed Services

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Current CompTIA Cloud+ certification

• Demonstrated program management experience supporting large U.S. federal government agencies

Location:
Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week at the client site in Southwest Washington, D.C.

Clearance:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a federal security clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
