Job Description:

The Agile Project Manager supports the Test & Learn Team by coordinating the delivery of A/B testing initiatives across Southwest's digital channels. They'll partner with Business, Product, Design, Analytics, Marketing, and Technology Teams to manage projects from intake through launch, ensuring priorities, timelines, and dependencies remain aligned. They'll facilitate Agile practices, remove impediments, and support cross-functional collaboration to drive efficient execution. The Agile Project Manager leverages strong project management and communication skills to deliver digital experiences that enhance the Customer journey and support business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and facilitate planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Intake and evaluate relevant information to define project scope and establish milestones
  • Lead a portfolio of small, medium, and large campaigns and projects for various areas across Southwest's business in Customer Experience & Digital
  • Ensure critical activities and deliverables are performed on time, within capacity parameters, without error and within agreed upon scope
  • Build trust across the department and within the team dynamic
  • Ensure necessary internal and external communication, while improving overall transparency, reconcile conflicts between the working team, leadership, and outside partners, if necessary, with knowledge of when to provide solutions and when to escalate issues to leadership for resolution
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core Agile values, practices and principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
  • Look for avenues to increase the productivity effectiveness of the teams in any way possible
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

  • Skilled in planning, preparing for, and leading meetings
  • Skilled at listening, understanding, and succinctly communicating ideas in writing or speaking to project teams, peers, leadership, and senior leadership
  • Skilled in presenting to executive level leadership
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to show attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to produce working contracts among different stakeholders such as definition of done, scope lock, acceptance of work etc.
  • Skilled in strong organization and communication
  • Skilled in utilizing strong problem-solving in an unstructured environment as a self-starter
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, including across project teams, with peers, leadership, and senior leadership
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain an extremely high regard for confidential and sensitive information


Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED


Experience
  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
    • Scrum framework and Kanban methods
    • Velocity and flow metrics
    • Techniques for increasing team effectiveness
    • Project management
    • Campaign development

  • Preferred: Experience in JIRA/Atlassian Cloud and Adobe Workfront

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $114,200 per year to $126,900 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company. Benefits you'll love:
