Job Title: Director of Genetics Business Development

Position Summary

The Director of Genetics Business Development is responsible for building strong relationships within the global beef industry with the aim of growth and adoption of cutting-edge genetic solutions. As a member of the AGI Leadership Team, this role works closely with the President to execute strategic priorities, oversee customer-facing operations, and lead business development activities.

The Director collaborates within and outside of the team to ensure customer success and effective delivery of products and services while serving as a trusted representative with customers, industry organizations, stakeholders, and the company's Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market development initiatives and customer adoption strategies to expand the use genetic technologies across the global beef industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, industry organizations, and strategic partners with the aim of increasing company brand awareness and revenue.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for customer service functions and customer-facing initiatives to enable unique, applied genetic solutions.
  • Lead customer recruitment, engagement, and retention through careful planning and development and continuous of a customer relationship management.
  • Partner with technical and product teams to support successful delivery of existing and future products as well as customer solutions.
  • Monitor business performance and support decision making through continuous improvement of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Provide updates and recommendations to the President, AGI Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and stakeholders.
  • Represent AGI throughout the global beef industry through education, promotion, and partnership development.
  • Develop team members and foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
