How you'll make an impact in this roleThis position resides under The Resource Group, an end-to-end supply chain partner to healthcare organizations across the United States, wholly-owned by Ascension. At The Resource Group, we build strong relationships with provider teams, working alongside them to improve supply chain operations and lower non-payroll expenses, all in support of delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities for this role can be found below:
• Engage key internal stakeholders, including site managers, Resource Group leaders, and end-users, to align contracting opportunities with organizational strategies by gathering and defining functional and clinical requirements for products and services to ensure contract development meets clinical acceptability and operational needs.
• Partner with Sourcing counterparts to leverage eSourcing platforms for developing and managing Requests for Information (RFI) or Proposals (RFP) while stematically collecting supplier attribute data and responses required for a comprehensive, data-driven evaluation process.
• Collaborate with Sourcing counterparts to discover and discuss contracting implications, challenges, and potential details before formal negotiations begin to ensure the contract strategy is informed by clinical, operational, and commercial requirements.
• Facilitate feedback collection from clinical and operational end-users to determine acceptable suppliers, then synthesize findings and provide supplier recommendations to the team.
• Develop and disseminate communications to stakeholders related to contract announcements, launches, product changes, safety alerts, and educational opportunities while ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the contracting and implementation process.
• Support ongoing contract lifecycle management by resolving matters related to supplier performance, commercial terms, and payments while tracking, measuring, and reporting on key performance metrics, including cost reduction, standardization, and quality improvements tied to contract outcomes.
What minimum requirements you'll needEducation:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
