  • Pinpoint product gaps and work effectively to fill them.
  • Launch new products from concept to market introduction.
  • Enhance brand perception and market presence through targeted efforts.
  • Manage supplier relations and materials effectively.
  • Keep SAP data and settings for the product portfolio updated.
  • Work collaboratively with Distribution Centers on kitting operations.
  • Address warranty claims and technical issues raised by Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Establish standard operating procedures and guidelines for operational tasks.

Position Summary:
  • Perform market research & engage with customers
  • Create, collaborate & maintain marketing / technical content
  • Maintain product catalog for Tensioners, Belts & Kits
  • Identify sunsetting products and develop strategies to increase sales, consolidate or supersede/obsolete if necessary
  • Identify product/category holes & work to fill gaps
  • Develop & introduce new products to market (timing belt, accessory drive, auxiliary water pump, some metric belts and tensioners) from concept to launch
  • Improve market presence and solidify brand perception
  • Maintain suppliers & materials
  • Maintain SAP settings and Data for portfolio
  • Work with Distribution Centers for kitting business
  • Resolve warranty claims and technical escalations from Sales & Customer Service
  • Create SOPs and guidelines tasks to establish protocol


Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related fields or in lieu of bachelors degree 5+ years of experience in industry and/or product management
  • Experience converting a major customer's business from a competitor and developing, presenting, gaining approval and executing on major business cases.
  • Sales and Customer Relationship management and development
  • Presentation skills including working knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Financial acumen including the ability to manage sales, margin, cost and working capital and to read and prepare business cases
  • Strong communication skills
  • Emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity
  • Market and knowledge of diverse industrial markets
  • Business planning and forecasting
  • Automotive Aftermarket product and customer knowledge
  • Knowledge of Continental policies, procedures and values
  • Experience executing along the sales cycle to hunt and close new customers and new business.
