Full Job Description

The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects.

The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects chain analysis and space and space-enabled campaign modeling.As a member ofCMED, you willprovidetechnical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, militaryutilityand capability drawdown,killchaineffectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation. We support a variety of customers with diverse program portfolios, and we are looking for curious and innovative teammates to help us address our customershardest problems!

What You Need to be SuccessfulSenior Member of Technical StaffSignal & Image Processing andModeling & Simulation Engineering

MinimumRequirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or closely related technical field from an accredited school.

  • 5or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.

  • Proficiencywith theAdvanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)

  • Technical understanding of space operations, red vs blue simulations, militaryutility,threatphenomenologies,killchaineffectiveness,communications infrastructure,and/or command and control (C2).

  • Experience with multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques, specifically EOIR, RF, and RADAR processing, for object detection, tracking, and characterization.

  • Experience with Pythonand/orC++.

  • Ability to work on dynamic assignments andevolvingcustomerneeds.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication skills.

  • CurrentTop SecretClearance.

It would be impressive if youhaveone or more of these:

  • An advanced degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.

  • Experience modeling the space domain in AFSIM and/or integrating external tools with AFSIM.

  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of the Air Force business practices and programs.

  • Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance with polygraph, and special programs access.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
