Job DescriptionYou will be the Aeronautical Engineer Senior Staff for the Landing Gear Systems team which is responsible for delivering high-performance landing-gear solutions for F-35, IFG, Advanced Design, and Arresting Gear programs.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Aeronautical Engineer Senior Staff you will be responsible for providing expert engineering support across design, manufacturing, sustainment, and affordability initiatives for critical landing-gear systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, analyze, and support manufacturing of landing-gear components for F-35, IFG, Advanced Design, and Arresting Gear systems.
- Coordinate technical integration with landing-gear vendors and align efforts with the Program Office.
- Lead sustainment activities by evaluating field component issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage Class I and II change processes to ensure design modifications meet safety and performance requirements.
- Drive affordability initiatives by identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting trade-off studies.

Basic QualificationsBachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Experience with CATIA.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations.
Strong mechanical ability with desire to build root cause investigation skills.

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
