Total Rewards Advisor, you will be at the heart of implementing and monitoring compensation programs, pension plans, and group insurance. Your expertise will contribute to continuous improvement, implementation, and optimization of our processes. Acting as a trusted resource for internal teams, you will actively participate in strategic projects that shape our total rewards practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompensation:- Lead and coordinate annual compensation processes (salary reviews, variable compensation programs, total rewards statements).
- Advise HR team members on compensation programs and processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing practices.
- Develop and implement tools, mechanisms, and procedures related to compensation.
- Configure and maintain compensation rules in the HRIS (VIP).
- Participate in strategic compensation projects and initiatives.
Benefits and Pension Plans:- Act as a resource for interpreting group insurance rules and HR policies.
- Interpret pension plan provisions and ensure administration of DB, DC, and Hybrid plans.
- Monitor vendor performance (AON, Sun Life, etc.), resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with insurers on complex claims and contractual interpretations.
- Collaborate on implementing new solutions and analyzing benefits initiatives.
- Oversee group insurance administration and work with pension plan administrators on annual activities (financial statements, annual statements, etc.).
- Deploy communication and education initiatives for employees regarding pension plans.
Other Responsibilities:- Support the labor relations team in preparing for collective bargaining negotiations.
- Assess the impact of various total rewards scenarios.
- Contribute to HR process optimization and act as a change agent for improvement initiatives.
- Support the Employee Experience Center team.
What We Are Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- CEBS certification or other related certification (asset).
- 6 to 8 years of experience in compensation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of total rewards principles.
- 3 to 5 years of experience administering DB and DC pension plans.
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with HRIS systems; VIP (DLGL) is an asset.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and writing skills.
- Rigorous, detail-oriented, and committed to confidentiality.
