Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Advisor, Ready to Operate will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the successful transition of the Commonwealth LNG facility from construction and commissioning into safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Reporting to the Manager, Ready for Operations, this position serves as a key operational readiness subject matter expert responsible for aligning project execution, commissioning, startup, training, and operational processes to achieve a seamless handover from the EPC contractor to the Operations organization.
Key Accountabilities:- Partner in tandem with the Director, CSU, & Process Safety to manage turnover certification, acceptance criteria, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) ahead of RFO.
- Lead cross-functional readiness reviews and ensure seamless alignment across EPC, commissioning, and operations activities, serving as the primary operations lead throughout the execution phase.
- Managing daily operations of the LNG facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate EPC training activities with the Operations Director, CSU Director, Training to ensure alignment, workforce readiness, and accurate training records tracking and reporting.
- Provide readiness performance and risk updates to the Manager, Ready for Operations for review.
- Assist with development and implementation of operating procedures, work instructions, safe operating limits, and startup readiness plans.
- Validate readiness of operations systems including permit-to-work, management of change, isolation procedures, emergency response, and maintenance management systems.
- Develop, maintain, and progress detailed RFO schedules in Primavera P6, integrating readiness workstreams (operations, maintenance, training, procurement, commissioning, and start-up) into the overall project schedule.
- Track critical path, schedule float, and key milestones for operational readiness activities; proactively identify and escalate schedule risks and slippage.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to communicate schedule status, readiness KPIs, and trend analysis to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with RFO workstream leads, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to align schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure logical sequencing of activities.
- Facilitate schedule review meetings, capture progress updates, maintain accurate baselines, change logs, and schedule narratives.
- Support development of readiness checklists, gate reviews, and go-live criteria, ensuring schedule alignment with readiness milestones.
- Perform schedule quality checks (logic, constraints, resource loading) and ensure compliance with scheduling standards and best practices.
- Prepare regular progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and variance analyses for management review.
- Support risk and opportunity analysis related to schedule performance and readiness timelines.
Qualifications: Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; 10+ years' experience in LNG, petrochemical, or midstream gas plant operations will be considered.
- Advanced certifications in project management, process safety, or operations management preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience commissioning, startup, and stead-state operations for large-scale process facilities.
- LNG experience strongly preferred.
- Strong foundation in process safety, permit-to-work systems, and control room operations within high-hazard industrial environments with a strong understanding of process control, safety, and regulatory requirements.

- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to align EPC, operations, and corporate stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of safety, asset integrity, and maintenance management systems.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing operational procedures and readiness metrics.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on results, safety, and long-term operational reliability.
- Strong understanding of lump-sum, turn-key EPC execution workflows, including interface management, change control, and construction turnover processes.
