Job Overview
This Procurement Advisor role is located at Mercedes-Benz USA, headquartered in Sandy Springs, GA. The selected candidate will lead the procurement strategy and serve as the project manager for the end-to-end RFP process for selected commodities/categories. This position is part of the global Mercedes-Benz Procurement and Supplier Management division (RD-MP); responsible for the procurement of non-production materials and services. The selected candidate will consider new and creative sourcing strategies, work with cross-functional teams across Mercedes-Benz to gather and document business needs and be responsible for evaluating market conditions to drive local/national sourcing strategies and optimize total cost of ownership. This position focuses on strategic procurement with the goal of delivering the best price value for Mercedes-Benz

Responsibilities
Strategic Commodity Procurement Strategy Development (40%):
• Lead sourcing strategy for assigned set of commodities/categories across Mercedes-Benz by:
• Developing complex national sourcing strategy plans, advanced negotiation designs and solid contracting methodologies
• Conducting periodic national contract portfolio reviews with internal business partners and executive management to aggregate demand to leverage spend
• Working closely with stakeholders to identify and introduce new supplier technologies and advancements in design, materials, services and process improvements to build competitive advantages

Project Management (40%):
• Serve as a Project Manager for the end-to-end RFP processes for assigned commodities by:
• Leading and hosting RFQs as well as acting as a consultant for internal business partners on the supplier selection process
• Deploying advanced negotiation designs and developing innovative, project-specific contracting strategies and price control mechanisms for high-spend and complex projects
• Independently aggregate and synthesize project information with an understanding of supply markets, technology trends, and cost drivers to present sourcing recommendations to executive management for approval
• Ensuring solid contracting methodologies by working closely with Legal to bring contracts to execution readiness

Process Compliance and Performance Management (20%):
• Act as a consultant to internal business partners on MB policies and procurement process, providing training support where necessary
• Forecast and meet RD-MP key performance indicators set by RD-MP executive management (savings, efficiency and compliance targets) and ensure proper reporting
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular supplier performance reviews, identify performance gaps, establish improvement expectations and lead development of action plans and/or escalation internally

Qualifikationen Qualifications
• Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with a focus in one of the following areas:

o Management Information Systems (MIS)
o Statistics
o Technology
o Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in Project Management, Contracting, Negotiation, and direct production material procurement will also be considered

Additional Information
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years (total) of experience in any combination of any the following: Accounting, Administration, Business - General, Business Management, Project Management, Finance, Integrated Supply Chain Management (ISCM), Market Research, Contract Negotiation/Legal
• Ability to analyze data, establish facts, identify trends and variance and integrate information from a variety of sources with varying levels of complexity
• Excellent communication skills to work with internal business partners in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
• Execute with high degree of self-direction, self-management, business professionalism and integrity to adhere to strict procurement policies
• Customer focused with 'can-do' attitude
• Advanced process understanding and attention to detail
• Written and verbal German skills are beneficial
