Job DescriptionOVERVIEW:Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:Project Governance- Ensure project compliance with the company's wider portfolio management decision-making structures and processes
- Provide regular project milestone reporting to management
- Ensure strict adherence to the Solution Delivery Process Guide (SDPG) and the organization's Policy and Operating Manuals
- Participate in the internal and external compliance audits when called upon (including the provision of audit request items, interviews, etc.)
Project Planning- Define the scope of the project
- Create a detailed workplan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determine the resources required to complete the project
- Develop a schedule for project completion
- Establish the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated
Project Implementation- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Perform document controlling duties for documents related to the project
- Monitor the progress of the project, keep updates and course-correct as necessary
Project Control- Communicate with sponsors as outlined in project objectives
- Monitor and get approval for all budgeted project expenditures
- Monitor project expenses, cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management
- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
Stakeholder Management- Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships
- Ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met
Project Risk Management- Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate
- Develop and implement solutions to overcome identified risks
QualificationsEXPERIENCEGeneral Experience- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.The typical starting salary range for this position is: $85,724 - $122,463.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.

Work Location Requirement - APL LogisticsEmployees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below: Fully on-site, or fully remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs.
• Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor.
• Warehouse roles are typically fully on-site.
• Candidates outside the 25-mile radius may be considered for fully remote roles, depending on business needs.
Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols. Commuting costs are not reimbursed. Adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.
