Advisor, Employee Listening
The Advisor, Employee Listening supports the design, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of BMO's employee listening programs. This role partners with stakeholders across People & Culture and the business to translate employee feedback into actionable insights that inform decision-making, strengthen the employee experience, and support BMO's culture and business priorities. The successful candidate combines strong analytical capabilities, program management skills, and stakeholder consulting to help deliver enterprise-wide listening initiatives and drive meaningful action from employee feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Listening Program Management
- Support the delivery and ongoing management of BMO's employee listening programs, including engagement surveys, pulse surveys, lifecycle surveys, and other feedback channels.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of listening programs, processes, and tools.
- Ensure effective execution of all program components, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, communications, and change management activities.
- Monitor program performance and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and employee experience.
Insights & Analytics
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative employee feedback to identify trends, themes, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations that support business and People & Culture priorities.
- Design, build, and maintain regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive-ready summaries.
- Integrate information from multiple data sources to provide a comprehensive view of the employee experience.
Stakeholder Consulting & Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to People & Culture partners, leaders, and other stakeholders on employee listening results and best practices.
- Support leaders in interpreting employee feedback and identifying actions to address improvement opportunities.
- Provide data-driven recommendations and consultation to support decision-making and strategic priorities.
- Build strong partnerships across business groups and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance listening initiatives.
Strategic Initiatives & Continuous Improvement
- Support the execution of enterprise employee listening strategies and related culture initiatives.
- Identify emerging trends, leading practices, and innovations in employee listening and employee experience.
- Conduct independent analysis and research to address strategic issues and inform program enhancements.
- Participate in initiatives that strengthen measurement, reporting, action planning, and overall listening program effectiveness.
Communications & Enablement
- Support the development of communication strategies and materials that promote participation, understanding, and action.
- Develop reports, presentations, toolkits, and resources tailored to different stakeholder groups.
- Contribute to change management and manager enablement activities associated with listening programs and reporting enhancements.
Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure employee listening programs operate in accordance with applicable governance, privacy, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- Identify and mitigate program risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Support vendor management activities, program documentation, and operational processes as required.
Qualifications
- Typically 5-7 years of experience in employee listening, employee experience, HR analytics, organizational effectiveness, program management, research, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience working with survey platforms, reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to consult, influence, and build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment.
- Data-driven decision-making skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and working in complex organizational environments is an asset.
$69,000.00 - $129,000.00
Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
