Full Job Description
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

As the Advisor, Business Performance & LOM Planning, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Performance team in executing and continuously improving the Company's global planning cycle, capital cost management, and operational cost performance framework. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Business Performance and LOM planning, your role ensures consistency and completeness of the corporate planning processes, provides analytical support around both capital and operating costs, and assists with the development and implantation of tools, insights and methodologies that enhance decision-making across the organization.

You will work collaboratively with Operations, Corporate Finance, and the Technical Corporate Team (TCT) to ensure high-quality inputs, alignment with corporate standards, and strong governance across planning and performance activities.

In this role, you will require strong analytical capabilities, an advanced business acumen, and the ability to work cross-functionally while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, structure, and strategic insight. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

Corporate Planning Cycle

  • Assist with the execution and governance of the full corporate planning cycle, including the Scenarios, Budget/LOM, and ELOM processes;


  • Coordinate scenario planning calendars, deliverables, and communications with sites, TCT and Corporate Finance;


  • Deliver meaningful cost and performance insights by leveraging rigorous analysis and advanced reporting capabilities;


  • Review and analyze Scenarios, Budget/LOM and ELOM submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy of data provided in the EPM, and provide timely data to key stakeholders as necessary;


  • Support Corporate Finance in consolidating Budget/LOM outputs as needed;


  • Assist with Quality Control documentation for all aspects of the planning process, from Scenarios to approved Budgets.


Capital Allocation Process

  • Assist the Senior Advisor with the pre-screening of site capital business cases, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and overall quality, as well as alignment with financial and operational guidelines;


  • Develop a strong knowledge of the Planisware capital tool to aid mine site and corporate users as required;


  • Work closely with mine site/regional capital allocation champions, along with Corporate Finance, to assist with the continued optimization of the capital process;


  • Maintain tools, templates and governance frameworks around capital planning and business case evaluation;


  • Prepare summaries and analysis for Business Performance team and the Capital Allocation Committee.


Cost Performance & Business Optimization

  • Assist in producing detailed cost and performance analyses, identifying drivers, trends, and opportunities for improvement;


  • Support the continuous improvement of business performance methodologies, tools, and reporting systems;


  • Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards, reporting structures and tracking tools for the Business Performance program;


  • Aid with the preparation of analytical support to Regional VPs and site leadership regarding Continuous Improvement initiatives.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in Finance, Corporate Planning, Mining Operations, Business Performance, or fields;


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional designation is an asset;


  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, mining processes, cost structures, and operational drivers;


  • Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in French and/or Spanish is an advantage;


  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally;


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities;


  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and functions;


  • High degree of attention to detail while being able to manage competing priorities;


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information concisely and efficiently;


  • Proficiency with corporate financial systems and reporting tools, along with experience with dashboards and reporting frameworks.


Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from our Corporate Office in Toronto, ON. Occasional visits to the site may also be required.
