What You Will Do

The Program Support Specialist provides comprehensive oversight and accountability for the management of projects executed by Johnson Controls. This role focuses on effective communication, both internally and externally, to ensure all stakeholders are informed and that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, the Specialist will resolve project and operational challenges, conduct periodic reviews to recommend improvements, and oversee their implementation. This role is instrumental in project sequencing, timeline adjustments, and scope document modifications to achieve objectives.

How you will do it

  • Manage projects in alignment with client objectives, establishing and adhering to standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Facilitate effective communicationbetween clients and internal stakeholders to address perceptions, needs, and challenges, identifying potential business opportunities.

  • Maintain a focus on fostering high levels ofcustomer satisfaction, advocating for the client while providing guidance for necessary program improvements.

  • Monitor and oversee project progress, compile and communicate information about critical activities, resources, and timelines.

  • Create and update tracking reports weekly for all projects, ensuring comprehensive pre- and post-sale documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with the Strategic Account Manager and key stakeholders during performance reviews. Act as a liaison among Sales, Centers of Excellence, Field Delivery Teams, and Business Partners to refine key program elements.

  • Actively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, providing support to field delivery teams as needed.

  • Implement a project-controlled environment through adherence to Playbook requirements, reporting weekly on project status to key stakeholders.

This onsite role requires close partnership with client stakeholders, enabling proactive engagement and collaboration. Byembracing collaboration and diverse perspectives, the Specialist will achieve trusted advisor status with the client and ensure seamless project execution through a commitment tointegrity, candor, and continuous improvement.

What we look for

Required

  • Required B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in functional project management within a complex physical security environment.

  • A minimum of 8 years of physical security experience, including regular interaction with general contractors, property managers, and client stakeholders.

  • A thorough understanding of both installation and service components of operational performance.

  • Detailed knowledge of access control technologies is essential.

  • Excellent leadership skills with at least 3 years of experience managing professionals in a construction setting, with a deep understanding of permitting and union complexities.

  • A self-starter capable of reviewing processes and instilling continuous improvement methodologies, including the establishment and execution of a formal quality assurance program.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities. Ability to lead and engage in meetings, representing both JCI and the client as required.

  • Required technical expertise includes certification or exposure to enterprise-wide access control and video systems.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $97,000- 146,000(Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
