Job Profile: Advanced Practitioner (NP or PA):The
Medical College of Wisconsin's Department/Division/Program of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking a
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the
outpatient setting. This position is located in
Menomonee Falls, WI at Townhall Health Center with coverage required as needed in
West Bend, WI at Pleasant Valley Health Center. The APP will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, and will ensure an environment of safe, patient-centered, quality care.
Position Highlights:- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in diagnosis & treatment of conditions requiring medical intervention in an outpatient setting and as a member of the GI team
- Order, perform, & interpret screening and diagnostic procedures & tests, and communicates & documents information
- Facilitate & communicate with patients, families, & staff to promote continuity of care
- Perform procedures as needed
- Evaluate quality outcomes for patients receiving care
- Attend required training, and comply with regulatory requirements
- Acquire information on current trends in the APP field via educational programs, in-services, professional associates, and literature
Schedule: - Full time, 1.0 fte position with expectations for covering during core business hours (primarily 8 am - 5 pm)
- May need to provide inpatient coverage at Pleasant Valley Health Center in West Bend as needed
- Scheduling flexibility required to provide an appropriate level of patient care coverage. May require evening or weekend hours in in the future based on business needs

Qualifications: Highly Preferred: - A minimum of 2 years of experience with gastroenterology patients in an ambulatory setting
- Certification as an Adult Care NP and/or Acute Care NP
Minimum Education: - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
Minimum Requirements:Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Wisconsin Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license
- Certification Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization

- DEA eligibility
