An APRN treats and diagnoses illnesses, advises the public on health issues, manages chronic disease, and engages in continuous education to remain ahead of any technological, methodological, or other developments in the field.
Responsibilities include:- Performing physical exams.
- Ordering and interpreting lab tests.
- Diagnosing medical conditions.
- Managing patient records.
- Educating patients on their condition and care.
- Counseling patients and their family members.
- Developing treatment plans.
- Dispensing medications.
- Giving vaccinations.
- Providing referrals to specialists.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Qualifications:- Master of Science in nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
- 2 or more years of clinical experience as a nursing practitioner at a physician practice or in a hospital with a related specialty is strongly preferred.
