Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

Urology San Antonio | Full-Time

Urology San Antonio is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. Position Overview

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will provide comprehensive care to patients across the urology continuum while partnering closely with physicians and clinical teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, educate, and support patients with both acute and chronic urologic conditions while contributing to initiatives that improve patient care, clinical quality, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Conducts patient assessments, exams, and follow-up visits
  • Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic urologic conditions
  • Develops individualized treatment plans
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic testing
  • Prescribes medications and therapies as appropriate
  • Performs in-office procedures, including limited-scope procedures such as string stent removals
  • Provides preventive care and health promotion counseling
  • Educates patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Collaborates with physicians to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes

Leadership & Quality Initiatives
  • Partners with physicians and leadership on clinical projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Supports the development of clinical pathways, protocols, and best practices
  • Helps identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and patient experience
  • Participates in quality, compliance, and performance improvement efforts
  • Assists with implementation of new programs, policies, and procedures

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant advanced practice field
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications
  • Urology, genitourinary, oncology, surgical, internal medicine, or family practice experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment
