UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our employer-based Occupational Medicine program in Rockford, Illinois. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to focus on preventive care, workforce health, and injury management within a highly collaborative practice.

  • Emphasize injury prevention and early intervention strategies, working closely with employers to implement safe return-to-work plans.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a valid license to practice in Illinois.
  • Experience in occupational medicine or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for preventive care and health promotion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
  • A commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards is an asset.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health record systems.
