Position Summary

UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking highly motivated and collaborative Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our multidisciplinary care teams across a wide range of medical specialties. This recruitment supports multiple divisions, offering opportunities to practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings depending on clinical assignment.

Specialty-Specific Opportunities
Responsibilities include, based on vision, but not limited to:
  • Cardiology: management of heart failure, arrhythmias, inpatient consults
  • Gastroenterology: liver disease, GI disorders, procedural coordination
  • Pulmonary/Critical Care: ICU management, ventilator support
  • Hematology/Oncology: cancer care, infusion management, symptom control
  • Behavioral Medicine: psychiatric assessments and medication management
  • Endocrinology: diabetes care, hormone disorders
  • Geriatrics/Palliative Care: complex chronic care, end-of-life support


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical exams
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Depending on the clinical specialty there could be on call responsibilities
