Position Summary:The
Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery is seeking a
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the Outpatient / Ambulatory setting. This position is located in
Wauwatosa, WI at the Froedtert & MCW Center for Advanced Care. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Position Highlights:- Work with an experienced and talented team of 8 vascular surgeons and 2 APPs to provide high-quality care to vascular patients in the outpatient / ambulatory setting, including pre and post-operative care, routine surveillance of vascular conditions, and wound care
- Predominantly provide care to adult patients, though will occasionally provide care to patients under age 18
- Will see and care for patients on an independent clinic schedule with the ability to quickly and easily collaborate with attending vascular surgeons as needed
- Frequently collaborate with other specialty care teams to provide care including Vascular Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Surgery, Infectious Disease, and Physical Medicine & Rehab
- Will directly report to the APP Manager with indirect reports to the Division Administrator and Division Chief
Schedule: - Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- No weekend, holiday, or call requirements
- 1.0 FTE (full-time)

Qualifications:Preferred Experience: - Previous experience in vascular surgery or a surgical subspecialty preferred, including ambulatory clinic management, inpatient consultative care, perioperative management, and operating room support.
- Open to experienced APPs; new graduates may be considered with relevant clinical training.
Minimum Education:- Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
Minimum Requirements: - Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Certification Requirements

- DEA registration
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
