Position Summary:

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department/Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within Pediatric ENT Outpatient clinical setting. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Position Highlights:

• In this role you will, have an independent ambulatory practice working in conjunction with the Department's Pediatric Otolaryngology Division specialist to staff his/her own clinics seeing new and established patients. The APP will work in support of the specialists with complicated patients and ensure appropriate continuity of care for all program patients.
• The APP will provide care for both complex and typical patient populations, which offers a challenging and rewarding variety of patient interactions.
• This position would be based in Milwaukee with possible coverage at any of our 6 regional ambulatory sites.
• Specialty areas include: Aerodigestive & Foregut, Cleft Lip / Cleft palate, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Thyroid, Trach/ Vent, Vascular Anomalies, Sleep and Voice.
• This role will report to the Otolaryngology Division Chief and Division Administrator.

Schedule:

• Typical schedule includes Monday-Friday. No weekends/holidays/call
• Ability to pick up extra shifts
• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Salaried (Exempt)

Department/Division Highlights:

The subspecialty of the Pediatric ENT Program (Otolaryngology Program) provides specialized medical and surgical care to infants, children, and teens in the full breadth of pediatric otolaryngology in a population with complicated health care needs. The Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Wisconsin is the largest group of fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologists in the State of Wisconsin - an incredible opportunity to learn from and work with the best!

Qualifications:

Preferred Experience:

• Previous APP ENT experience preferred.
• Open to new grads or experienced APPs (prefered)

Minimum Education:

• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.

• Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.

Minimum Requirements:

Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner

• Wisconsin RN License

• Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License

• Certification Requirements (multi-select which are applicable for position):

• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

• DEA registration

• Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization.

• Pediatric NP (PNP).

• Psychiatric Mental Health NP (PMHNP)

Physician Assistant

• Wisconsin Physician Assistant License

• Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

• Certification Requirements:

• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

• DEA registration

Training required in the first six months:
