Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - CardiologyPhysicians East, P. A. invites you to consider an exceptional opportunity at our Arlington Main Campus in our Cardiology department. We are seeking a well-trained, experienced, collegial, and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is comfortable with the evaluation and management of Cardiology patients. We're looking for an individual who can provide first-class care for our patients while ensuring exceptional experience.
In this position you will: - Perform patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams.
- Manage follow-up care for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests (e.g., EKG, stress tests, echocardiograms, lab work)
- Provide patient education on risk factors, medications, and lifestyle modification.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care and quality outcomes.
- Accurately document all patient encounters in the EMR.
Requirements include: - Licensed as a PA-C or NP in the state of North Carolina and active DEA license.
- Cardiology experience strongly preferred.
- Must be able to work independently (under indirect supervision).
- Have at least 1-3 years of post-graduate experience as a provider in cardiology.
- Must have experience and knowledge of an EMR system, voice dictation (Dragon) and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Use strong clinical judgment to determine when a supervising physician should be consulted.
- Value working in a team-oriented, patient-centric culture.
The ideal candidate will also: - Be confident in clinical decision-making and autonomous in providing care to patients in a fast-paced clinical practice setting.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proactive in discussing case management.
- Possess excellent time management and have ability to work well with patients and their families, collaborating/supervising physicians, facility staff and leadership.
- Display a professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families, maintaining strict confidentiality in all times.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of team commitment, which includes meeting deadlines, punctuality and excellent follow-through and feedback.
