Job DescriptionIn this role, you will provide technical expertise as an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer in the integration of Honeywell Aerospace environmental control systems into aircraft and the development of turbomachinery and heat transfer products. You will use Siemens NX and Teamcenter to develop and maintain robust design definitions, coordinate priorities with multiple customers, and apply sound engineering judgment to complete complex assignments.
You will evaluate how critical components fit and function together and may support the fabrication, operation, application, installation, or repair of mechanical products. You will apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials knowledge, and manufacturing process expertise to produce manufacturable designs. You will also communicate status and technical information to internal and external customer stakeholders and help lead the resolution of supplier, production, and customer issues.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Work within and lead multi-discipline design collaboration supporting turbomachinery, heat transfer, and/or environmental control systems design.
- Promote accountability for design standards, methods, and quality across the design team.
- Lead design efforts within the Mechanical Design Engineering team and coordinate with multiple customers to establish priorities.
- Apply working knowledge of component interfaces, GD&T, tolerance analyses, material selection, and manufacturing processes to develop producible designs.
- Advance digital product definition and Digital Engineering within the design team.
- Improve existing mechanical design engineering processes by identifying and eliminating non-value-added tasks and introducing automation and AI-enabled methods.
- Mentor less-experienced designers and share new design concepts and methodologies.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- At least 3 years of experience in the mechanical design of integrating components and systems for commercial and military aircraft applications.
- At least 3 years of experience with Siemens NX or similar CAD software.
- At least 3 years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter or similar PLM software.
- At least 3 years of experience using GD&T, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009 or newer.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Ability to plan and complete a variety of complex tasks and support multiple projects.
- Willingness to learn, apply, and mentor others on new design concepts and methodologies.

The annual base salary range for this position is $104,000.00- $130,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
