Full Job Description
What will you be doing?
  • Supporting new product introductions as the operations representative within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team
  • Developing and implementing capable manufacturing processes, including equipment specification, acquisition and installation
  • Partnering with cross functional teams locally and across global manufacturing sites to achieve project milestones
  • Supporting design for manufacturability and process development activities
  • Planning, executing and documenting validation activities, including data analysis and report writing
  • Coordinating and supporting new vendor tooling activities
  • Ensuring safety, quality, cost and timeline commitments are consistently met


What will you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in new product development
  • Experience within the medical device industry is preferred
  • Exposure to plastic manufacturing methods is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently with guidance
  • Understanding of quality systems and basic operations documentation

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $78,000 - $117,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
