Molex, LLC is seeking an Advanced Process Engineer to join our team in Hudson, WI. In this role, you will be part of a small, highly experienced engineering team responsible for partnering with R&D and product development teams to define manufacturing strategies for new products and technologies. You will evaluate manufacturability, identify and mitigate launch risks, and establish scalable manufacturing approaches that support successful commercialization. In this role you'll be focused on developing, documenting, and improving manufacturing processes for both new and current products that will be built in our new Hudson WI plant, plus our current plants. You will be expected to be the main process contact for specific projects/opportunities while collaborating with our NPI team and operators to build prototypes that meet customer requirements and ensure we can build to scale.

As the manufacturing engineering lead for assigned programs, you will collaborate across R&D, NPI, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain functions to transition products from development environments into manufacturing sites while ensuring readiness for stable, repeatable, and cost-effective production. Your experience and engineering judgment will play a critical role in reducing launch risk and accelerating successful product introductions.

What You Will Do

• Partner with R&D and product development teams early in the design process to assess manufacturability and define manufacturing strategies for new products.
• Identify technical, operational, and supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to improve product launch success.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities from prototype builds through production launch.
• Define process flows, equipment requirements, quality controls, validation plans, and operator training strategies to support scalable manufacturing.
• Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering contact for assigned development and commercialization programs.
• Lead technology, product, and process transfers from R&D and development locations into NPI and production manufacturing sites, ensuring manufacturing readiness, capability, and risk mitigation throughout commercialization.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive successful product launches.
• Support existing manufacturing processes through problem solving, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate manufacturing and quality issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and document outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing capability, automation, productivity, and cost performance, and develop implementation plans to support business objectives.
• Understand, support, and contribute to Six Sigma, ISO, Environmental, and Health & Safety Management Systems by following established policies and procedures.
• Serve as a key contributor during customer and industry audits.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality.
• 6+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing development, product commercialization, or advanced manufacturing engineering.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and product development teams to bring products from concept into manufacturing.
• Experience working with automated systems to identify opportunities and/or program new functions to improve process efficiency.

What Will Put You Ahead

• 2+ years experience within the fiber optic industry
• partnering directly with R&D or product development teams to influence product designs for manufacturability, scalability, quality, and cost.
• Demonstrated success leading manufacturing readiness and commercialization activities from prototype development through production launch.
• Experience transferring products, technologies, or manufacturing processes between development, NPI, and production manufacturing sites.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing risk assessment, process validation, and launch risk mitigation methodologies.
• Experience evaluating and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing capability, productivity, and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound engineering decisions in ambiguous situations using technical expertise, business acumen, and engineering judgment.
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and data-driven decision making to optimize manufacturing performance.
• Experience in highly regulated, precision manufacturing, fiber optic, electronics, or similar advanced manufacturing environments.
