  • Evaluate performance and efficiency of turbomachinery under various conditions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and modify facility screens as necessary.
  • Gain hands-on experience with start and loading systems, including eddy current and dynamometers.

Join a team dedicated to advancing the fields of Automated Controls, Test cell Control Systems, and related automation technologies. You will be part of a team that is at the forefront of designing electrical solutions and control systems critical to the testing, validation, and performance of turbine engines and high-performance aircraft propulsion engine systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Electrical solutions to unique problems, transforming concepts and ideas to AutoCAD Electrical drawings that will be fabricated into Hardware
  • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical software to create detailed drawings, using block diagrams, control interconnects, panel and enclosure layouts, cable and harness assemblies.
  • Design Test Cell Control Systems through all phases, from initial concept and detailed engineering drawings, to fabrication and commissioning.
  • These Test Cell Control Systems (FCS) are integral in testing and evaluating the performance, efficiency and safety of turbomachinery and turbine engine components under various environmental and operational conditions.
  • Designing Unit Under Test (UUT) control interfaces
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues or modifying facility screens to add capabilities or fix issues
  • You will gain hands-on experience with start systems & loading systems like eddy current and dynamometers.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years of related Electrical Engineering experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements


WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks or other CAD applications to Design various Electrical Hardware
  • Experience with PLC's is of value (including GE, Allen-Bradley, and/or Emerson PLC's)
  • Experience with ANY of the following is of value:
    • Experience with programing languages like Ladder Logic or NI LabVIEW
    • Experience operating standard test equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools
    • Experience in testing environment overseeing testing of hardware is of value
    • Understanding of start systems, load banks, and dynamometers is a plus (but not required)
    • Knowledge of instrumentation for data acquisition i.e Thermocouples (TC's), Pressure Transducers, Strain Gages, Accelerometers (Accels), etc.
  • A good grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices
  • Experience in solving technical problems utilizing analytical thinking
  • Working knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC)
