Who we're looking for

Toyota's Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Advanced Compensation - Senior HR Technical Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide hands-on technical leadership for our Workday compensation ecosystem. This role is accountable for technical readiness, solution analysis, requirements definition, testing support, and operational stability for annual and off-cycle compensation events, while helping mature Job Catalog and Job Profile capabilities.

Reporting to the HR Technology Manager, the ideal candidate is a proven senior analyst or technical HR systems professional, comfortable working close to the system, data, and delivery details. The successful candidate will be able to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, partner closely with configuration and integration teams, support testing and defect resolution, and drive reliable execution in a complex HR technology environment. This is an execution-focused role that requires strong technical depth, attention to detail, and day-to-day ownership, rather than broad strategic product leadership.

This position is based in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

What you'll be doing
  • Keep compensation cycles running strong (salary + hourly): Own end-to-end technical readiness for annual, mid-cycle, hourly events, and off-cycle compensation changes; ensure stable integrations and clean data flows across Workday and downstream systems.
  • Operational excellence: Lead issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and defect prevention; establish regression planning, validation activities, and monitoring to improve reliability over time.
  • Drive Job Catalog maturity & Job Profile data expansion: Steward job architecture data; ensure Job Profiles are accurate, complete, and structured to support analytics, career architecture, skills frameworks, and compensation modeling; define data governance rules, appropriate adoption and audit for business objects within the process.
  • Technical analysis and solution leadership: Serve as the lead analyst for Advanced Compensation, helping define priorities, analyze business needs, translate requirements into technical documentation, and partner with Workday configuration and integration teams to support delivery without directly owning configuration work.
  • Technical & data excellence: Ensure design patterns align with enterprise standards and Workday best practices; assess upstream/downstream impacts; partner with data and reporting teams to ensure compensation and job data are accurate, timely, and usable.
  • Change & release management: Coordinate testing cycles, release readiness, communications, and training support for impacted users; proactively identify risks and drive mitigation and scenario planning.

What you bring
  • 3+ years of experience in HR Technology or HRIS.
  • Experience supporting or leading annual compensation cycles and/or off-cycle compensation changes in an HRIS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, writing user stories or functional requirements, supporting testing, and partnering with technical teams through delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data validation, issue investigation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and produce strong documentation.
  • Working understanding of data privacy and access concepts for sensitive employee and compensation data.

Added bonus if you have
  • Workday system experience highly preferred.
  • Experience as a senior HR technology analyst, HRIS analyst, business systems analyst, or similar technical role in an HR or enterprise systems environment.
  • Exposure to Job Catalog development, skills architecture, or job design frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Workday reporting, integrations, or business process design (conceptual knowledge; hands-on configuration).
  • Strong data governance mindset (quality checks, controls, and audit support).

What We'll Bring

During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
  • A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respect
  • Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
  • Team Member Vehicle Purchase Discount
  • Toyota Team Member Lease Vehicle Program (if applicable)
  • Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family
  • Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota regardless of whether you contribute
  • Paid holidays and paid time off
  • Referral services related to prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools and more
  • Tax Advantaged Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA)
