Full Job Description
Advance Practice Nurse

Coleman Intensive Crisis Services is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse for full-time employment in our Marion, Ohio location. Help support our mission by providing professional patient care with a strong, team-oriented approach for medication evaluation and management.

Qualified candidates must have an Ohio license as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist with prescriptive authority. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

All APNs must maintain a Standard Care Arrangement with an identified Coleman Psychiatrist in accordance with the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.

Must have an NPI number, be enrolled as a provider to bill Ohio Medicaid, and have a CAQH account created.

Job duties of APN:

  • Apply medical knowledge to screen, diagnose, treat, and manage the mental health care of clients while maintaining client data in an electronic health record.
  • Administer psychiatric treatment, including prescriptions and medication reviews.
  • Assess hospitalization need.
  • Establish initial treatment plan and monitor progress.
  • Initiate referrals to internal or external providers.
  • Provide psychiatric consultations and program consultations.
  • Educate individuals and families about medication management.
  • Coordinate with psychiatrists, physicians, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.
