Job Summary:

The Admissions Director plays a critical role in supporting both the clinical and census growth needs in this fast-paced environment.

This position is responsible for managing all admissions for a variety of referral sources, with a strong focus on supporting short-term rehab and long-term admissions and assuring smooth transitions into the facility. The Admissions Director will also serve as a key leader in business development and marketing efforts within the local community, building and maintaining relationships with hospitals, referral partners, and families.

Additional responsibilities include conducting facility tours with prospective residents and families, supporting census development initiatives, and ensuring all admission agreement paperwork in completed accurately and efficiently. This role works closely with the Administrator, department leaders to support operational goals and ensure a seamless, welcoming admission experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Admissions & Clinical Coordination
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge resident in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations
  • Maintain a referral log and track all incoming referrals
  • Coordinate with families, referral sources and the admissions team to support timely and appropriate admissions

Marketing & Community Relations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of public relations and marketing initiatives
  • Support the Administrator in executing the facility marketing plan
  • Promote and help coordinate media coverage and outreach programs in accordance with facility policy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and community stakeholders


Administrative & Financial Oversight
  • Monitor and report advertising and promotional expenses as requested by the Administrator
  • Support administrative tasks related to admissions and census development efforts


Qualifications
  • Ability to access and coordinate admissions from multiple referral sources
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (healthcare, nursing, or social work focus preferred but not required)
  • Current Massachusetts RN, LPN, LSW, LCSW, or LICSW license is strongly preferred but not required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care or sub-acute care preferred
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families, physicians, staff, and external partners
  • Ability to meet the physical and ergonomic demands of the role, with regular and consistent attendance required
