Position Summary

San Bruno Skilled Nursing is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Admissions Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral partners, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming admissions experience. Working closely with the Admissions Coordinator and interdisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in coordinating admissions, maintaining compliance, and supporting occupancy growth.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral sources.
  • Coordinate and schedule admissions, including pre-admission assessments and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate resident records in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and financial eligibility processes.
  • Conduct facility tours and provide information to prospective residents and families.
  • Collaborate with nursing, social services, and administrative departments to ensure seamless resident transitions.
  • Prepare admission packets and required documentation.
  • Follow up with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral partners to obtain timely and complete information.
  • Support marketing, community outreach, and census development efforts as needed.
