Summary

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Comptroller Department (01), Accounting Division (012), Corporate Financial Accounting Branch (0121) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $137,000).

  • You will be responsible for advanced financial analysis, reconciliation, systematic issue resolution, and training.
  • You will ensure accurate financial oversight and data integrity by utilizing Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Operating Material and Supply (OMS), and financial reporting systems.
  • You will act as a liaison, ensuring coordination and resolution of financial discrepancies, and will work closely with personnel to correct financial issues related to material.
  • You will lead training initiatives, enhancing technical competency and financial data integrity across multiple departments.
  • You will perform work related to external requests for information or guidance, data calls, or other functions in support of Department of Nacy Audit Remediation goals.
  • You will ensure products align to NSWC Crane strategic goals and objectives while striving to utilize continuous improvement methods to provide better products and services.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and interpreting financial data, reports, and plans to resolve funding issues ensuring financial operations are in compliance with current laws, rules, and regulations for the sustained support of an organization.
